Overview

The primary purpose of testing is to reduce risks by locating errors before they go into production. End-user acceptance testing is the final hurdle that most applications face prior to being put into the production environment. During this phase, whoever represents the end user has to sign off that the technology does what is needed to be able to be used by real people in the real world. This is a daunting task. The purpose of this introductory session is to examine the challenges facing those who take on this daunting task.
